I've been breeding goats for nearly 30 years. The dairy's been producing milk for commercial use since 2001, but in April 2006 we began to sell our own brand of goats' milk. We've 200 goats in the herd and, apart from milk, we make natural and flavoured yoghurts and goats' cheese. We hope that soon we'll be selling semi-skimmed goats' milk, butter and goats' cream. More and more people are seeing the benefits of goats' milk as an alternative to traditional dairy milk. Replacing traditional dairy products with goats' milk products can make a real difference; people with food intolerance find switching can relieve many symptoms. In fact my wife, when she's not busy with our two children, produces a soap made from our goats' milk; it has properties which can really help those suffering from eczema and psoriasis. |
