Who I Am What I Do

Sargie's Cornish Kitchen, Bude, North Cornwall.

We are Dave & Kirsty Sargent, of ‘Sargies Cornish Kitchen’, which started up in May 2007. We produce a range of fresh, quality food using NO preservatives, additives or colourings, a fact of which we are extremely proud.

Our main product range is the fresh soups handmade by Dave, a qualified chef who worked throughout Cornwall & Devon for over 12 years. Using local ingredients wherever possible, they are available in 6 flavours throughout the year, such as Butternut squash & sweet potato and the popular Cauliflower & Miss Muffet cheese (Produced by Sue Proudfoot on her farm near Bude). We also produce another 6 flavours that change with the Cornish seasons.

Dave makes the soups by hand in small individual batches. This keeps the quality of each soup at its best and the freshness guaranteed. We are also proud to be able to say that the soup range is Gluten free and that some flavours contain no dairy, widening the market to a lot more people.

Alongside the soups we also produce a range of 4 speciality butters, again using local ingredients such as Trewithen Farm butter and Cornish Blue cheese.

We are very proud to say that the Garlic butter achieved a Silver award at the ‘Taste of the West’ awards for 2007.
