Cornwall Cakes We're Rob and Jo Bader: Cornwall Cakes began life ten years ago in our kitchen. Hard to believe now but, back then, if you wanted dessert in a Cornish hotel, pub or restaurant, the choice was often between something mass-produced or just going hungry. Jo's idea was to offer caterers a range of fresh, hand-made quality desserts.

We've built up a business that makes desserts and cakes which are fit for any catering outlet looking for the home-made touch. We've grown steadily, and now have three fully-trained patisserie chefs operating from a modern, well-equipped bakery in Bude. Our founding business ethos hasn't altered, though: everything's still made by hand, in small batches, using Cornish free range eggs, Cornish butter and Rodda's Cornish cream. It's a 100% synthetic cream-free zone! We recently won two awards: a Bronze for our Baked Cornish Cheesecake (‘Taste of the West' Food Awards), and a Silver for our New York Cheesecake (at the prestigious ‘Great Taste Awards' in London - the food world's "Oscars"!) |
